LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) Flooring Installation

The floor homeowners keep asking for — waterproof, durable, and comfortable, installed with the prep that makes it perform.

Luxury vinyl plank has become one of the most requested floors in the DMV, and for good reason: it's water-resistant, durable, comfortable underfoot, and available in convincing wood and stone looks. But LVP is only as good as the floor beneath it. Donya LLC installs LVP with proper subfloor prep so it lies flat, locks tight, and lasts.

Why LVP works so well

Quality LVP resists water, scratches, and daily wear, which makes it a strong fit for kitchens, mudrooms, and below-grade basements where solid hardwood struggles. Rigid-core (SPC) products add stability over imperfect subfloors. We'll help you choose a wear layer and plank format matched to your traffic and rooms — durability you can feel without a premium hardwood budget.

Local Expertise

LVP for DMV kitchens & basements

For the humid summers and finished basements common around Bethesda, Rockville, and Silver Spring, LVP's water resistance is a real advantage. Over concrete basement slabs in particular, moisture testing and the right underlayment matter — details we handle so your floor performs in a below-grade DMV space.

Good To Know

Frequently asked questions

Is LVP really waterproof?

Many rigid-core LVP products are highly water-resistant or waterproof, which is why they're popular in kitchens, baths, and basements. Performance still depends on correct subfloor prep and installation.

Can LVP go in a basement?

Yes — it's one of the best basement flooring choices. We moisture-test the slab and use appropriate underlayment for below-grade conditions.

Is LVP better than laminate or hardwood?

Each has trade-offs. LVP wins on water resistance and durability; hardwood wins on warmth and long-term refinishing. We'll help you choose for each room.

Can you install LVP over concrete or existing floors?

Often yes, after assessing and prepping the substrate. Flatness and moisture control are the keys to a lasting install.
